Subscriptions

See your recurring charges and get notified when a new one shows up โ€” so you stay on top of what you're paying every month.

Overview

Finn helps you understand recurring spending: subscriptions, memberships, and other charges that repeat. You can ask what you're paying regularly, and you can get an alert when Finn detects a new recurring charge so you can cancel what you don't want.

Key benefits

  • Recurring view: Ask Finn for your subscriptions and recurring charges โ€” one place to see them
  • New subscription alerts: Get notified when Finn detects a new recurring payment (e.g. a free trial that started charging)
  • Conversational: No need to dig through statements โ€” just ask

Seeing your subscriptions

Ask Finn to list your recurring transactions:

"What subscriptions do I have?"

"Show me my recurring charges"

"What am I paying every month?"

You'll get a list of recurring payments Finn has identified โ€” merchant, amount, and frequency (e.g. monthly) when available. That makes it easy to spot duplicates or subscriptions you forgot about.

New subscription alerts

Finn's Rules Engine can notify you when it detects a new recurring charge on your account.

How it works:

  • Finn analyzes your transactions for repeating payment patterns
  • When a new subscription is identified, you get an alert (e.g. in-app or by text, depending on your setup)
  • The alert includes the merchant name, amount, and billing frequency

Example alert:

๐Ÿ”” New subscription found: Netflix โ€” $15.99/month

That way you can cancel quickly if it's something you didn't mean to keep.

To turn on this alert, tell Finn you want to be notified when new subscriptions are found, or set it up in your alert rules.

Example questions

"What are all my subscriptions?"

"How much do I spend on subscriptions per month?"

"Do I have any recurring charges from [merchant]?"

"Notify me when you find a new subscription"

Recurring detection and alerts are part of the Rules engine. For spending by category (including a subscriptions category), see Transactions and Budgets.
